We are on a peninsula jutting out into the Solway Firth, this gives us a coastal microclimate that gives us half the rainfall of inland Dumfries & Galloway and makes us several degrees warmer. The ancient Barony of Arbigland comprises farmland, woodland and foreshore on the Solway Firth coast bounded by the River Nith near Dumfries in the south west of Scotland. With its outstanding natural beauty and rich diversity of wildlife the estate forms part of the Nith Estuary Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and Upper Solway Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSI).
